2023 Year in Review
Another great year
2023 was another year of growth for NBM. Outstanding numbers in Q4 of 2022 set the bar high, but we worked hard, closing out this year with 8% YoY growth. We continued to focus on developing our core business with multi-functional products and diversified workplace solutions. Notably, we also took on a line of water filtration systems toward the end of the year.
“It fits really well with what we do, supporting the front office,” says Vern Hydorn, Senior VP of Sales.
Throughout 2023, we grew our IT services with exceptional support and expanded solution offerings, including advanced cybersecurity. With 70% growth YoY, this was our biggest area of growth and will continue to be a key focus for 2024.
We are proud to say that 2023 brought with it many awards, including:

- Top Copier Dealer, Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly
- Hyakuman Kai Elite Dealer, Sharp
Many of these awards are only given to a select few companies out of thousands, based on things like growth, innovation, and leadership within the industry.
“What it says about NBM is that we stay true to our mission, which is to give a level of service that is superior to what customers get from most other providers,” says Vern about receiving the awards.
A step above the competition
As we get more distance from the pandemic, it’s clear that not all of our competitors have rebounded as well. NBM demonstrates a higher level of service, helping us claim more market share in a tight industry.
In fact, some clients are reaching out to us — like a major New England university that was unhappy with their current provider. Our ability to offer large-scale solutions with personal, responsive support continues to set us apart.
The secret to NBM’s success? Superior customer service and local support are driven by our people. Vern highlights his time-tested strategy of hiring recent college graduates who are eager to reach out and make connections with new clients.
“A lot of companies in the industry have gotten away from that model, and we believe in it more than ever,” he says.
Looking forward to 2024
As we plan for 2024, NBM remains focused on developing talent and working toward double-digit growth. We’ll continue to invest in our core business as well as new opportunities, including water systems and IT.
