A Most Welcome New Year

A Most Welcome New Year

If someone had told us in January 2020 that Sharp would be marketing a cloud-based temperature scanning solution to allow employees to enter office buildings by the end of the year, we would not have believed it.  This has become a reality in early 2021.

Like most companies, 2020 was a very challenging year for NBM but we have a lot for which to be grateful.  NBM is considered an essential business because we support healthcare organizations and front line responders so our technicians have been servicing equipment in the field throughout the last ten months.  Our supply chain has remained intact and thanks to the support from our partners, we experienced very few backorders.

While many of our annual events had to be cancelled, we were able to give back to the community with our Food Drive and Toys for Tots donations.  Thanks so much to our employees and customers that participated.

There were also a few bright spots!  Two of our salespeople welcomed healthy baby boys in March and April.  We were able to complete the expansion of our corporate headquarters giving us the room necessary to grow the business over the next ten years.  We intended to host an open house and celebrate our 35th year in business but were unable to do that in 2020.  If all goes as planned, we will be able to schedule that event in the second half of this year.  We were once again selected as an Elite Dealer by the industry’s leading periodical, ENX Magazine.  We are the only New England based dealer in our category to receive this honor.

We have all had to reevaluate our goals and business plans.  NBM took the necessary steps in 2020 to ensure the long-term viability of our company.  We very much appreciate the support that we have received from our manufacturers and leasing partners to help our customers navigate through these uncertain times.  Most importantly, we appreciate the dedication of our employees and the loyalty of our customers.  A sincere thank you goes out to all of you.  We wish you all a healthy and prosperous New Year!
